City of Liverpool FC agree deal with Burscough FC

City of Liverpool FC and Burscough FC can confirm that they have entered into an agreement for The Purps to play at The Community Ground, Burscough for Season’s 25/26 & 26/27.

Paul Gilchrist, Chairman at Burscough FC said “We look forward to welcoming City of Liverpool FC to the Community Ground. I’m confident that the Committee, Members, Supporters and players alike will enjoy the fantastic facilities we have on offer. We’re excited to make them feel truly welcome and at home.”

On behalf of the Board of Directors at COLFC, Chairman Paul Manning said “We are delighted to play at the Community Ground and look forward to working with Paul & his team at Burscough FC.

We’d like to thank Bruce and his colleagues at DCBL Stadium for their help and the Committee at NWCFL for allowing us to make this move so close to the Season starting.

As The Football Association have approved the late change of venue for City of Liverpool, League Chairman Chris Stirrup stated “It’s pleasing to see Member Clubs helping each other out and we as a League, wish both Clubs the best of luck with this new venture with thanks to The Football Association for their support in this matter”.

Our first game at our new home is on Sat 2nd August against Euxton Villa in the FA Cup. There is a new bar with a balcony overlooking the pitch, a food outlet and plenty of space to watch the games.

Burscough is a good facility, here’s to a strong partnership and a bright future for two clubs with proud histories and passionate supporters.
